Welcome to Amaniq
Amaniq is accounting software built specifically for East African businesses — starting with Tanzania.
Most accounting software is built for the UK or US tax system and then modified to work in other countries. Amaniq is different. It was built from the ground up for Tanzanian compliance: EFD receipts, TRA filings, PAYE, SDL, NSSF. These are not added features — they are the foundation.
What Amaniq does for you
Keeps your receipts safe and verified. Every receipt is scanned, stored digitally, and cross-checked against TRA's system. When a TRA audit happens, you are ready.
Issues EFD receipts from within your invoices. When a client pays, you issue a legally valid TRA-registered EFD receipt directly from Amaniq — no separate device needed.
Calculates payroll and generates TRA exports. Upload a timesheet. Amaniq calculates PAYE, SDL, NSSF, and WCF for every employee, generates payslips, and produces the exact Excel file TRA's portal requires for bulk upload.
Reconciles your bank statement. Upload your NMB CSV. Amaniq matches bank transactions against your receipts, invoices, and salary payments automatically.
Produces your VAT return in one click. At the end of each month, your VAT return is ready — output VAT from sales, input VAT from expenses, net payable. PDF and CSV for your records.
Shows you if the business is profitable. The analytics dashboard shows monthly income, expenses, and profit — correctly, using VAT-exclusive figures so you see what you actually earned.
What Amaniq is not
Amaniq is a laptop and desktop application. It is designed for screens of 1200px and wider — the full accounting interface requires the space. Some features (like receipt capture) can be done on a tablet. A mobile-first phone experience is planned for a future release.
Amaniq is not an ERP system. It does not manage inventory, manufacturing, or point-of-sale. It handles financial compliance: bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, tax filings, and bank reconciliation.
